It may be a bit off the beaten path but it's a really wonderful experience. And for those willing to wait on a very long line, they were able to leave with an instant collectible, and a hot off the press 45. Fans who were there early enough got to see Jack onstage to record a limited edition 7 inch of the title track from his new album as he attempted to break the record for the world's fastest studio-to-store recording. I couldn't leave without a really cool Third Man Records box for my 45's (plus a few new ones!) and my husband had to have the black crate that holds record albums. But the store is so magical and interesting that all was forgiven. They carried only the items that had a connection to Jack White or bands that are backed by Jack White's label. In fact, on Record Release Day, I was surprised that they were not carrying all of the record release items. ![]() There is an old analog photo booth, a recording booth where you can go in and make your own recording for just a few dollars, games that operate by tokens you can buy on premises, a Mold-a-Rama, a monkey band machine, and even a retro novelty lounge where you can pose on the couch for a cool photo opportunity! Plenty to browse through, too - vinyl record albums, t-shirts, DVD's, guitar picks, 45's, view-masters, buttons, stickers, CD's, concert posters, and turntables! Much of the merchandise relates to Jack White in one way to another. It's a very cool experience! There are novelties and vintage toys. Once inside, you might be surprised at how small the shop is, but there's no shortage of interesting things to see and browse through. It was crowded that day, but well worth the wait to get in. I was there on Record Release Day with my family. If you like Jack White, or if you still love vinyl, like I do, this is a must-visit record shop when in Nashville. If you are not familiar with the city, like i was, you will find this heaven a few blocks south of Music Center of Nashville. And they were patient with me while i photoshooted the entire place. It was hot and i couldnt find a supermarket. Cover photos are taken in Third Mans blue room. Just when i landed on music city Nashville, i took a bus and i walked until i found it. The songs are then, as soon as possible, made avaliable on 7 vinyl and digitally released. I had to travel all the way from Europe to see it. I praise the nice people of Nashville to have the honor to have this shop in their town. Now, if you are a Jack White maniac and fan, this is a 7 star. For example you can record your own vinyl there, listen to records or just feel amazed to be in this mecca of Blues and Rock 'n' Roll. Packed with lots of goodies, records produced by Third Man, White Stripes records, souvenirs and items inspired by a contemporary Mozart, Mr. ![]() A record shop meant to keep they real music alive. For a music lover this is a 5 star record store.
